The philosophy of SD-M
The services of SD-M are based on the following
philosophy:
In industrialized countries, the challenges of the UN Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED, Rio de Janeiro, 1992) have been incorporated into the science of
business administration and into business strategies mainly in terms of environmental
management. In this process, development in developing countries
has been ignored. It is necessary to change this opportunity-oriented within the framework
of Sustainable Development Management.
In response, the "Rio +10" conference was deliberately named "World
Summit on Sustainable Development"
(WSSD,
Johannesburg, 2002) to reconcile environment
and development in an integrated approach. Only this integration
can make Sustainable Development Management work effectively.
For establishing goals, strategies and measures it is advisable to focus on the "Big
Six" along with material sectoral
specific challenges.
As a part of SD-M's philosophy 5% of its profits are donated to KNH.
